Whale’s tongue agave is an attractive medium size agave with a symmetrical rosette of wide, blue cupped leaves. It is very drought tolerant and requires excellent drainage. Whale’s tongue rarely produces pups as it is a solitary succulent. It is hardy to at least mid-teens.
Agaves create strong architectural accents and do very well planted en masse or used as a focal point.
