Lobelia cardinalis (Cardinal Flower)
Cardinal Flower offers showy bright red blooms that are highly attractive to hummingbirds. This 1-4 ft tall perennial depends on the hummingbirds for pollination.
Cardinal Flower is a wonderful addition to rain gardens and woodland gardens. It prefers moist, dappled shade or morning sun. It appreciates being mulched.
