Caroline Jessamine is a lovely perennial vine that produces bright yellow trumpet-shaped blooms early in the spring.  It is well-behaved and is easy to control. The vine climbs by twining and is best used on trellises, walls, columns, and fences that offer support. Can also be planted in containers. Carolina Jessamine is low maintenance and only requires periodic pruning to remove any unwanted growth. It does best in full sun.

The whole plant is poisonous. Its nectar may be toxic to non-native honeybees if too much is consumed. The vine’s sap can cause contact dermatitis in some people.
