‘Husker Red’ Penstemon is a lovely, well-behaved perennial that flushes with white to light pink blooms in the spring. Its foliage is burgundy-green. It is not fussy as long as it is provided with good drainage. It does best in part sun but can handle full sun to part shade. It does very well in the meadow, cottage or naturalized gardens as well as garden borders.
