Texas Gayfeather is a perennial wildflower sporting showy purple flowers. They are very showy when planted en masse in a meadow garden, urban prairie garden, rock garden or any perennial garden.
Texas Gayfeather likes a dry to medium soil and a sunny spot. It sometimes needs two years before blooming. Overwatering will cause root rot. Pollinators flock to Texas Gayfeather and the seeds are eaten by birds.
