Vines and Ground Cover

Ground covers and vines fill the spaces where weeds would otherwise take over, and they add layers to a garden. Native ground covers can replace thirsty turf on slopes, under trees, and along narrow strips. Native vines climb fences, trellises, and arbors while supporting pollinators and birds.

Space ground covers close enough that they can knit together, and water them regularly until they are established. Pair them with plants from our native shade plants collection, or browse native grasses for taller companions.
