Mexican Hat (Ratibida columnifera)
Mexican hat is a delightful Texas native wildflower. Its perennial nature combined with cheerful orange and yellow bloom makes for a lovely addition to any sunny garden. It is drought tolerant and does not require a lot of space.
Mexican hat looks best when planted en masse. It mixes well with other perennials and works well in perennial borders, backyard prairie patches, pollinator gardens and generally speaking any sunny garden space is not over-irrigated.
